Night Support

Closes: When position is filled.

Schedule: Monday through Friday. 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM. 

Pay: DOE, range of $18/hour to $23/hour + night shift differential and discretionary monthly performance incentive.

Your responsibilities will include

General Summary: The Night Support person is the first point of contact for the company’s customers and drivers after hours. Night Support is responsible for ensuring proper and accurate information regarding the service of the customer’s freight. Night Support maintains an efficient, professional, and stellar example of what the company stands for not only customer base but to our internal customers, and our driving fleet. The cultivation of both customers is an essential function and an example of our company culture, The PRIDE Way.

    • Develop and coach drivers through continued training and discussions, specifically on:

        • Efficiency of available hours
      • On-time %
      • Trip- planning
    • Answer all messages
      • Be timely in responding
    • Answer driver phone calls
      • Talk with or contact each driver daily
      • Build relationships for retention
    • Verbal dispatch
      • All produce loads
        • Review loading instructions
        • PO numbers
        • Check reefer temperatures and settings
        • Routing information
      • Critical Customers
        • Go over all load information
        • Routing
        • Stress/emphasize the importance of on-time delivery for these customers
        • Swap late-running loads
      • PTA’s
        • Accuracy
          • Check hours with drivers to make sure PTA’s are correct at the time of the loaded call
        • Safety
          • Manage drivers into compliance
            • HOS
            • Safety awareness
          • Communication
            • Notify proper individuals of late or potentially late loads prior to being too late to recover
              • Updates hourly on delays at loading or unloading to proper individuals
            • Track and trace twice daily
              • Track all equipment to make sure they are on schedule
              • Track all picks until loaded
                • Update all computer-work with real-time for accurate customer communication
              • Reports
                • On-Time Report
                  • Add comments for each late load
